Our Nevada Author Adventures Trail includes an old mining town, an academic institution, and a museum, all in the upper half of the state.
If you are coming from the lower Nevada, you might want to add the small Searchlight Historical Museum to your trail. It showcases the work of Senator Harry Reid who wrote a book about his hometown and often had public speaking engagements about it. In addition, the Museum exhibits feature other famous Searchlight residents, including Academy Award-winning costume designer Edith Head and actress Clara Bow. You can find it at 200 Michael Wendell Way in Searchlight.
