Literary Maine
We visited Maine one chilly autumn when the maple leaves had turned to their brilliant reds, golds, oranges, and yellows, and occasional bursts of snow flurries warned of winter’s coming.
We knew nothing of Maine’s author offerings at the time, so were satisfied with the simple pleasures of eating fresh lobster, hearing lively moose stories, collecting leaves bigger than our heads, and taking llamas on long walks in the woods.
With all those adventures, we didn’t think as much about the author opportunities there as we discovered later. From some of New England’s earliest and finest writers and poets to settings of Stephen King novels, the Maine Author Adventures Trail is worth exploring!
