Literary Delaware

A word about Delaware…when you visit, you will discover a great number of engaging historical landmarks. In fact, the University of Delaware is known worldwide for its historic preservation programs. Since we focus on authors and illustrators, our trail is just a small portion of Delaware’s offerings.

The Delaware Author Adventures Trail is less than an hour long, featuring three completely different types of locations, including a museum celebrating the life of a legendary illustrator, the college that was founded in 1743 where a contemporary young adult author studied sport medicine, and a special library’s collection of rare writings by such luminaries as poet Alice Moore Dunbar-Nelson.
